The Museum in Ardino

It is an exquisite stone building from the last quarter of the 19th century and it is the only historic building in Ardino declared an architectural landmark. It was used for storing powder keg and ammunition until the end of World War I, and till then, it belonged to the Turkish army. The museum building was built in the late 18th century and has consistently been headquarters of the Ottoman and then the Bulgarian garrison.
