Price: $0.00
In Stock

This one of a kind bridge over the Osam River in Lovech connects the new part of the city with the architectural reserve - Varosha.

In 1874, a Bulgarian architect Nikola Filchev (aka Usta Kolyo Ficheto), built the famous covered bridge, which was built entirely of wood, without any metal parts. It is 84 meters long and 10 meters wide. The upper parts of the stone foundations are adorned with patriotic sculptures. Inside, on both sides of the street, 64 small shops are built. The bridge is illuminated with old-fashioned gas lanterns. Mitkulishev Photography Ivan Mandevski © Photo: Svetoslav Todev
